Sorry Mike, I have some bad news for you, unless your brother is a rookie and your clutch is a strike you have a problem.
As for all the people talking about the J piston size, noone has picked up on the real reason for the increase in piston size, it isn't about extending the life of your motor at all. The top faster drivers have normally more than one motor and one of the motors will be bored out to the max or near max, hence more "c,c's". I know for a fact after many years of helping at titles that alot of the top guys have big bore motors in both KT and J. Nice if you can afford to waste a barrel!

Aidka website is updated .16/1/10 Good to see they must have sorted their problems & can access the website now. Bugga, No calender nor rules update yet , but New President says updates are coming soon . Most know the rules anyway via their clubs delegates in December, but will be good to read for oneself.

I too have been told the Rookies can run a clutch still in 2010. The delegates choose the Strike clutch . I guess a local Australian made product had advantages over the many models world wide. Still only as an option if they want a clutch.

Bugga, No calender nor rules update yet , but New President says updates are coming soon . Most know the rules anyway via their clubs delegates in December, but will be good to read for oneself. They didn't have any problems to start with the problem was no one was updating the site. Others problems that's just AIDKA's problem our main problem (the kartters) with the AIDKA site is that is hasn't been updated yet. The Calendar and the Rules, these are the main updates and they still havent been updated dissapointing. They still need to update the calendar ASAP this is really if you look at it CRAP. The new season starts in like 2 weeks and some people still have no idea when they are racing. People said last year that this hopefully wouldn't happen but it has AIDKA new association or old pull you finger out. Maybe get another person to just do the website because it looks like you are having real troubles. It is good that it is getting updated but I can tell you isn't it a little late, better late than never but I am hopeing before everyone who races karts thinks you are useless that you get the calendar and the rules them most important things that karts want t know out at a resonable time next year. But I don't think it will ever happen!!

Seriously, i have never heard so much whingeing in all my life, all of you karters belong to clubs, these clubs have presidents and secretaries and club delegates who should be able to give you all of the information that you need to start racing, all clubs were sent a proposed race calender which would give you an indication of when and where racing is, this website has also provided you with all race dates that clubs have posted, so instead of bagging the executive how about you actually get off your bums and call your clubs or even look on other clubs sites to get the information you need. As far as the rules go no one is ever going to be happy with all of the rules, again your club delegate should have had all of that information so the only changes will be what they have and you just add it or delete it or ammend it from your 2009 rule book. Again it comes down to a few people who like to do nothing but whinge and cause trouble, these people i don't see putting their hands up to do these jobs.

Yes but atleast the rules on a website that I can look at would be useful since the rule change meeting was 2 months ago. This seasons rules are very expensive for some karters having to get ride of there clutches. People just want to know if there are anymore rules that dramatically effect them like the clutch rule.

Ha ha well if the rules were published at a resonable time after the rule change meeting there would be not whinging.

Here is one of the most important rule changes this season. RULE 11.2.5(a) J Class Rookies have the option to use a "STRIKE" clutch only as an aid to driver education. No other brand is to be permitted. Clutches are "NOT to be Permitted" for competition in "All" other "J" classes, e.g. J Junior (Light and Heavy) and J Open. This applies to all State, Territory and National Titles as well as club Competition Events. Information sourced from: www.communitywebs.org/~AIDKA/index.html with thanks
