Should the Australian Tittle be held yearly? Here are my reason to have the Australian Tittle held yearly. - If the Australian Tittle is held year it gives more drivers the opportunity to be Australia #1.
- Clubs throughout Australia will benefit because lots of kart attend the Australian Tittle and if it is held yearly the clubs will have more competitors attending them which will allow them to have a bigger budget.
- All other motor sports have a tittle yearly. Take Sprintcars for example their Australian Tittle is held yearly.
- Also many Clubs only get the Australian Tittle once every ten or so years. So if it is held every year the clubs and the drivers benefit from the outcome. By having the Australain tittle at their club more often.
- The Australian Tittle won't really be every year because they won't be in the same state two years in a row.
EG: SA,WA,SA,NT,SA,WA,SA,WA,SA,WA,SA,NT,SA
NOT: SA,SA,SA,WA,WA,WA,NT,WA,WA,SA,SA
Its a win, win result.
So what do you say should the Australian Tittle be held yearly. If you can think of anymore reasons why the tittle should be held yearly feel free to post them. Site members can only vote in the poll.
A poll has been added to the main screen.

I think having it every 2 years is good enough.

Also adding to all the +'s. Drivers will be able to have a better chance at getting the Aus #1 Plate in their desired class. I don't see what the harm would be in having it every year. As you said; Most motorsports have the Australian Tittle every year. It would be great for the sport if they had the Australian Tittles every year.

It was put up for vote at this years rule change meeting but was knocked down. I dont see how we can get the Australian Titles yearly until the association backs it.

I know it has been ruled out at a recent AIDKA Meeting, but did the drivers have the opportunity to vote. I just want to their thoughts about the Australian Tittle and it being held yearly.

I think it should be a yearly event. The idea of it always changing states in a good one.

I also agree the Australian Tittle should be held yearly. It will be great for the sport if it goes on that roster you said. It will be like having it every two years because it will only be in your state every second. AIDKA a group of 10 or so people made the decision to not have it and I don't even know if they have a drivers vote. Me being a driver of dirt karts would have like to have a vote on this decision because I would have like the outcome to be something different than the outcome was. AUS TITTLE HELD YEARLY

Hi Guys, You can get a say. Get of ya backsides and come to your clubs general meetings. This is where you can have a say about how your club is run and have a say about new rules etc. I don't want to got to general meetings. I just want all driver to have a say. It wouldn't hurt if AIDKA every once in a while gave ALL the drivers a chance to put their opinion down on a piece and got their voice regarding the matter. Have AIDKA ever done this it wouldn't be hard to do so. For Example: The 2008 licenses forms why don't they have an anonymous vote paper given out with the license forms. This paper can have questions regarding dirt karts (rule changes etc.). This paper will give drivers the chance to voice their opinion and not have to got to General Meetings. Also all driver will have a chance to be heard. Not just the drivers at General Meetings. Anyways most drivers have work and other commitments so they don't have time to go to club general meetings which are held mostly on week days. Also not all rules are made at general meetings AIDKA has the final say and what they say goes. LIKE IT OR NOT

>:(The reason they don't do this is clubs have a hard enough time filling positions. So they give power back to the clubs forcing karters to come along and support there clubs by having your say. I suggest you come along and put something back into the sport and you never know you just might get a chance to put your suggestions forward.. Its always the same people running clubs I wonder what people would do if they all just walked away and decided to race??? Oh well enough of a dig... A process like you put forward was used for the 125cc class when that started. They got all the drivers together who were or had purchased the motors to come up with the rules. This was done at club level first though. Before you give me some sly come back just remember it was me that put up for the Australian titles to be run yearly and it got knocked back this year. I proposed a system as follows SA Interstate SA Interstate and so on....... I Think tracks should also be graded as not all tracks can support title meetings. I would like to see a A Grade, B Grade and C Grade License issued. This would be done by a team of drivers and the National Safety Officer. A Grade = All Events including nationals B Grade= State Titles and Club Events C Grade = Club Events Only This system would make clubs strive to improve there facilities and would give the karter every chance as he will be racing at decent tracks. What do you thinks? ?

Also the tittle will always be at a good track that can support a tittle. Well Done KartBay7.

All of what you have been saying means nothing. AIDKA is the boss (like in a business) and what they say goes. If you want to have the Australian Tittle yearly you would probably have to have a petition or something in which all drivers sign with their opinion. Well personally I would like the Aus tittle yearly because I live in WA and we haven't had the tittle for six years and if it was held yearly it would have only been three years. Also I think that if the tittle was held on the Roster of: SA,WA,SA,NT,SA,WA,SA,WA,SA,WA,SA,NT,SA Many karters from WA including myself would be happy. Thankyou!
