I have tried both oils in KT motors, they are fairly similar, both being castor/synthetic blends. I didn't really notice any performance or longevity differences in the motors, the only thing was the A747 left more deposits in the combustion chamber and the exhaust. I suspect it has a higher percentage of castor in the blend.
Long ago i switched to ELF HTX909 and it would take a lot of convincing to get me to use anything else now.

I have found the best performance and wear resistance using ELF. For a synthetic/castor it is also very clean. Any good kart shop will be able to get it for you.

I also went from Shell M to Elf 909 and have not looked back. Engine builder said the condition of my Motors were a lot better then when I was using Shell M and I have noticed a huge difference in the carbon deposits on the plug. Obviosuly a tad more expensive but the savings made on motor maintenance ect may be worth while.
