NOMINATIONS IN FOR THE TIM CROUCH MEMORIAL KT MEDIUM CHALLENGE
The nominations are now final for the KT Medium Challenge dedicated to Tim Crouch. The strong list of 14 KT drivers has a mixture of some well known long term campaigners with some very talented young drivers that have progressed from the junior ranks in the last year not to be discounted. This meeting again has also very good support from the other classes with Junior Lights and KT Lights having 13 nominations each, 125 Heavy’s with 10 nominations and Statesmens and KT Heavy’s fielding a total of 9 nominations each. The growth of Kart racing is building at Adelaide with the rookies again expecting a large field of pocket rocket racers with 9 nominations. With the weather forecast predicting mainly sunny conditions for Sunday this will be a pleasant change from the intermittent rain received the last few racing meetings at Adelaide. So all is set for a great day of racing! Don’t forget- Gates open: 7:00am Scrutineering: 7:30am till 8:30 (Nominations will be paid in the clubrooms PRIOR to being scrutineered) Racing Starts: 9:00am See ya track side

NO RAIN FORECASTED
With no rain forecasted (touch wood) for Sunday it looks like this maybe the first day time meeting this season that hasnt been effected by rain. Can't wait to race on the track during the day it is super fast at night. ;D

ALL READY TO RACE AT ADELAIDE
With 25+mm of rain over the last week the track survived extremely well. The track is prepared in a tip top condition suitable for some great racing tomorrow. With very little work to be complete in the morning racing should be started on time.
See ya track-side.

KT MEDIUM TROPHY DAY RUN AND WON IN FINE CONDITIONS
With not a cloud in sight, no wind to be noticed and the sun warming the fresh overnight air it had set the scene for a great race day for the Lightning Karts sponsored Tim Crouch Memorial KT Medium Challenge.
The track with plenty of grip created some real quick laps times and enabled the drivers to put the foot down and turn at high speed making the racing exciting for all to watch. With 2 heat wins to Jack Wenham and a heat win to Mark Burford and Rhys Hackett the final was set with Mark from poll and Rhys from position 2. On the start Rhys got the jump with Mark slipping back to 4th place in the early laps. Mark then set out to make up lost ground with an inspirational drive back up to 2nd place, a drive that Tim would have been proud of. Amongst the racing at the front of the pack was also some great driving from Duran Cowland who finished 3rd and Jack Wenham showing some great talent and always in with a chance finishing 4th. The KT Medium Challenge being a fitting tribute to the memory of a great racer in Tim Crouch.
The rest of the supporting classes also contributed to some great racing on the day. With an early finish for the day in sight some extra time was allocated to the novice drives in the lunch break and again after the race meeting had finished.
Adelaide Kart Club would like to also wish their members that are making the trek to the NT titles in 2 weekend’s time all the best and safe travelling and we will be ready to hear the great stories on your return the week after at Adelaide’s next meeting on the 25th of July.
