Yes you can run a clutch with a 100cc Open. In the early 90's JICA engines were homologated with centrifugal clutches (similar to leopard etc.) The manufacturers of the engines made the clutches. I'm not sure if they are still the same cranks in KF3 ?
Vortex, IAME etc all made these engines and clutches.
You could try to find one of these drive side cranks and clutches that will fit your engine and go from there.
Won't help you if you are running a rotary (and if you run 100cc open you should be running a rotary!!)

you can but they are slower even the american setup's with jack shaft's and sliper clutches are not as fast. imo if you want one go 125

Hey racer1.. I don't know why people in 100cc open run the reeds, i guess they don't know how to set up a rotary properly. In the rulebook it says that 100cc motors have to be CiK homologated, and the reedjet under CiK specs puts out 34hp. The last of the FSA rotaries (eg. MRC or Vortex) CiK homologated specs puts out 40hp.
Either the guys running reedjets have modified them away from the CiK specs (naughty!), or people have forgotten how to put together a fast rotary!
If i could afford to start running 100cc open again, i know which one i'd choose..
And lyonsy, i agree the clutch would be slower, but the original poster didn't really say why he wanted to do it.

100 open is exactly that, bore and stroke max 110cc. no other rules. plus due to development on bitumen produced some hot reeds. my best 100 motor is only 28HP but a flat torque curve

Read the rule-book again roundie.. Hope you're not being caught out by the change in wording!!
Rule 11.1.8 (b) Any CiK homologated single cylinder series production air or water cooled 100cc engine + 10%
If you don't have an engine that has matching homologation papers, as far as i'm concerned it's not legal for AIDKA 100cc open racing.
Things like big reed blocks etc. that haven't been homologated are not legal. Pretty simple.
(I disagree with the rule wording, but it's there nonetheless)
Be interesting to hear how many 100cc open racers are aware of the rules of their class ?
