i have heard that we are still looking for some more outlaws to make a class up so if you know anyone with a outlaw just ask them if they have nominated

Was told around 290 but that depended on whether or not there was an outlaw class. All i can say is lucky they have 2 days of racing.

Although the larger the number of entries the more likely it is to have oversubscribed classes the number can vary a lot with little impact.
Example: One race event could have 12 classes with 10 entries per class = 120 entries. If 4 heats and final are run then that will equal 60 races for the event. A second even could have 12 classes with 20 entries per class = 240 entries. If 4 heats and a final are run then that will also equal 60 races for the event. Other than higher potential for restarts due to the larger fields in a race and track maintenance the race time shouldn't be too much greater.
The number of overall races for the event depends on more than the number of entries. It depends on how many classes are oversubscribed as well as the number of karts in those oversubscribed classes. If all the classes are just over 20 entries it will have a bigger impact on the number of overall races than if a couple of classes had up to 40 entries and others were still less than 20.
Regardless of whether an event is at club level or title level the highest efficiency will be when all races have close to the track limit of 20 karts per race.

That is a real shame as the outlaws run regularly at yp and the ppl that run them i feel sorry for. Some ppl like to run the bigger classes so i hope that the outlaw class can survive this as i enjoy racing agenst them as i do quiet often at yp.

Outlaws will survive as a class it is just unfortunate that more outlaw drivers did not nominate including previous State plate holders. There are many more outlaws around so come on guys it's too late for this year get our acts together and bring them out for next year
