With only a week to go, the excitement is mounting for the Murray Machining & Sheds 2010 Australian 360 Sprintcar Championship to be run at Moore Engineering Murray Bridge Speedway. Thirty-four cars have nominated for the event, the first to be run since the national acceptance of the ASCS American engines last May.
Thanks to the Wright family, the Championship is again supported by Murray Machining & Sheds and Rivercity Sheds. The preliminary feature race on Saturday night will also double as the Ross Wright Memorial.
Practice will commence on Friday 26th February at 5.30pm, with the best time from any laps completed on the night being used to seed the heats and act as a tie-breaker for any tied points throughout the championship.
On Friday 26th February, a charge of $10 will apply to anyone entering the venue up until 5pm, and anyone entering the pits after 5pm. This nominal charge is to assist cover the costs of the practice, including the ambulance costs and track preparation. The General public will be admitted free from 5pm when the Public Gates will be opened.
The practice will be followed by a meal and Calcutta from 8pm in the Ross Wright Function Centre at the venue. A two course meal will be available, including roast beef & chicken and salad and dessert for $15 per head. Teams and members of the public are encouraged to contact Murray Bridge Speedway with anticipated numbers for catering purposes.
Saturday 27th February will see two rounds of heats and the 25 lap Ross Wright Memorial feature. Modified Sedans and AMCA Nationals will support the night.
Another two rounds of heats will be conducted on Sunday 28th February prior to the B-Main and 40 lap Championship final. Modified Sedans (numbers permitting) and Street Stocks will support the night.
