The WA Sprint Karts run with slightly different engine specs than the proposed SA Sprint Karts, I have been told they are allowing 500cc motors. These are top photos

Brief History These Gokarts have been racing in the USA since mid 1980's and have proven to be popular to both drivers & spectators. What started out as a rigid cage bolted directly to the frame soon changed to what is now called a floating cage. Movable receivers were added to the frame allowing the cage to rest on springs thereby freeing up the kart to flex. Large aluminum, wing added for extra safety.

What would the cost be . Can I buy one from USA or would it have to be built. If running 500cc on oval tracks isn't it called formula 500 now at Speedways. I heard a winning Formula 500 motor on Speedway is priceless.

Chassis's can be imported but chassis's are being manufactured in Adelaide SA(pm me I can put you into contact with supplier). Not encroaching on the formula 500 guys is the reason that the motors are restricted to maximum 450cc.Racing costs would be be very similar to running a standard kart for season

So what is cost to buy one of these ones , complete ready to race, with helmet straps , & arm retainers , special seating etc . with a winner late model 465 aprox engine. Cost of new & also what do the secondhand ones sell for now. Is there restrictions on the engine or is it the latest model & most modified engine that wins.

karty (pm me) I will provide contact point concerning your queries Just a couple of answers 465 cc not allowed maximum 450 cc see earlier post for specs. Second hand in Australia very doubtful you will find one. There are 3 demonstrator Sprint Karts forsale in SA all complete. 1 American chassis the other 2 Australian designed chassis. Contact me by pm or my email address in profile I will point you in the right direction.
