Is there still going to be racing on this Saturday heard from somebody last week that it maybe was going to be cancelled for a reason I don't want to say because I don't want to spread news if it is untrue. Well I guess I'm just asking is racing still a go ahead for Saturday or not? It says on your website it is but that was updated along time ago, could somebody who is in the know of the YPDKC please let me know ASAP.
Thanks

i am a member and as far as i know we are still racing as i was up there yesterday doing a working bee i believe the only reason why you cant race is if you don't have your new licence. But as of yesterday we are still racing this sat night

That's good then, should be good noms for Saturday if people were organized and got there licenses in, I know of a lot of people who have got theres back already some as early as two weeks ago. Atleast that was cleared up.
Thanks for quick reply.

94 noms, not as many as we would have thought, but I think the licenses not being back was a major issue

94 is great, considering the license issue, but hopefully this meeting can run through smoothly and all race can be finished then for the next meetings before the Title when you get over 100 noms you will be better prepared.
Good Luck

Hopefully they finish all the races, good luck to everybody who is going. Hope for your sake the meeting will run smoothly, I would like to see how the in and out grid will handle all of those karts coming in and out at the same time.
In my opinion it was hard to move at the speedway spectacular and that had only 80 karts, good luck in your preperation for the title, it is no easy task.

I think racing needs to start earlier to compensate for the larger nominations. Racing finished too late and there were still no finals.
Just a friendly opinion.

The amount of nominations was not the issue. 104 is well within the capabilities of the track and its environs. The issue was having to have the track graded and watered three times before the completion of round 2. In excess of 1 hours racing time was lost because of the this. If you were driving you would have been aware that the drivers were given the option of continuing on or have the track maintained, the drivers decision was to have something done about the problem areas; the correct decision. ANY track would have experience the same problems with completing their program after loosing this amount of time. Further issues relating to the crowding of the pre-stage areas with trolleys. Drivers and their crew should be more aware of where they leaving them not just dump and run. The start time is acceptable this club has completed there program's with far in excess of the amount of nominations that were there last night. Starting earlier especially on hot days causes a whole extra set of problems both mechanically and volunteer personnel safety issues. No one wants to stress their engines nor do they want to place the health of flaggies and all officials from the dangers of heat exhaustion. Try standing out in the heat with a flag, at least if your driving you do get to come in out of the sun. The correct decisions were made because of safety to which anyone watching on pit corner would have been aware the way karts were bouncing. No ones wants accidents nor kart damage, so then it had to be at the expense of the racing program. WELL Done to all involved under the circumstance's

So next meetings what's happening different to ensure the track doesn't break up again?

The track wasn't that bad from what I have been told is just was starting to get a 'cush' in one corner. I'm sure all the people a YPDKC work very hard with track prep so please for all future poster please don't just complain about the track......
Remember it is the same for everybody racing in your race.
