Hi there Dirt Kart Racing Administrator,

We have had a long road in trying to get the club up and running here in Kambalda. We have a meeting today at 4.30 pm to discuss the final layout and track, but also the logo design. I know we wanted the track to be longer than 800 m x 10m wide. Not definate though, so please don't quote me on saying that mate.

We have held expressions of interest in the community, and have filled many pages with names and contact details, so membership should not be any problem.

We are affiliated under AIDKA. We are registered etc and are just waiting for confirmation from the govt. department regarding incorporation.

We will be racing at the old Kambalda Speedway, which used to run under the Nickeltown Motorsports Association years ago. We are about to start the construction and cleanup of the site in the next couple of weeks. We would like it all to be done by start of March, therefore when it is inspected by whoever needs to inspect it, if anything needs to be fixed, or improved, we have 3 weeks to amend them.

We have a great committee who have been working tirelessly trying to get it up and running. They are all enthusiastic and very helpful.

The KDKC is also looking for any sponsorship. We have had a great interest here in the Goldfields regarding donations and sponsorship, but it takes a lot to run a facility, as you know. So if there is any feedback concerning a willingness to help out or donate etc, pass on our thankyou's for us, and our email address, so I can formally introduce myself and thank them on behalf of our Kart club.

11/09/2010 - President's Cup
09/10/2010 - Kambalda Club Championships
16/10/2010 - All Classes Trophy Day
06/11/2010 - Kambalda Nickeltown Speedway Memorial Trophy Day
13/11/2010 - End Of year All classes Meeting/Club Presentation
04/12/2010 - Education Day/ Practice Day.

All these dates have been approved by AIDKA and are in the Dirt Kart calendar put out by the Jenna Kart Club (I am sure you are familiar with Sharon Fekete, as she is the one who organizes the WA clubs etc). However, if we do have a problem that cannot be fixed by the 3rd of April (our opening day), we will have to postpone the meet till it is sorted out. I will let you know of our progress regarding that.

Hey Mr x, (LOL), yes there are lights at the facility, so when we do get all up and running, we will put in a few night meets (maybe). Will see how we all go. Will keep you all posted
