OK Guys and Girls
Just uploaded the New update for TomTom. Get it from TomTom Home. Or Download from
www.filefactory.com/file/a2g5ffb/n/TomTomAIDKA.zipUnzip to your TomTom Device under File name AUSTRALIA and its done
Finished doing the POI files for Navman and Garmin. Now these aren't as straight forward to do like the TomTom upload.
OK first one is Navman. If i get the instructions wrong. Sorry
1) Get Navdesk 2009 if you don't already have it and install.
navdesk-2009.software.informer.com/download/2) Download the Zip file containing the POI
www.filefactory.com/file/a2g5edf/n/AIDKA_Dirt_Kart_Clubs.zip 3) Unzip to a location you will remember
4) Connect your Navman device to the computer via the USB cable
5)Once the software has detected your unit, select ‘Custom POIs’
6) Click on ‘Browse’ and locate the file
7) Select ‘New Category’ and name it appropriately like AIDKA Tracks or something like that
8) You need to add a visual alert to the POI’s and set the distance at which you wish to be alerted. The visual icon MUST be a .bmp file. I have loaded one into the Zip file so you can use that if you want.
9) Once you have completed this, Select ‘Add to device’
10) Once the information has been transferred to your device, please press ‘OK’
11) Close the NavDesk2009 software and remove the unit from the computer.
The unit will now display your custom POI’s upon approach.
Note: These instructions are based on what I read on the navman website. I haven't tried them so you guys are the guinea pigs ;D Let me know if they work or not, or if you know a better way to do it.
GARMIN
1) Download POI Loader and install
www8.garmin.com/software/POILoaderforWindows_254.exe 2) Download the Zip File and extract to a location you will remember.
www.filefactory.com/file/a2g5edf/n/AIDKA_Dirt_Kart_Clubs.zip 3) Follow the steps on POI Loader
Sorry don't have much more info than that. Very vague on their website. Again, if someone knows another way let me know. Generally it isn't very hard to do this.
As Far as I know the files for the Navman and Garmin will work on other GPS systems that require the .CSV files. So these 2 downloads should cover over 95% of the GPS systems out there including your mobile phones.
Still Need Morgan and Loxton if someone has a proper street address or cross streets its near or GPS Co ordinates, anything really.
Have started on the speedway tracks. As you could imagine its a very big list, so it may take some time.
Any Questions or Problems Please let me know and I will try to help.
