The 100cc Open & J-Open trophy day was a great day at Adelaide ...
Weather was good [ for a change ] & the track was in great condition all day. Considering the big entries the track was a huge improvement over the last few meetings. Good work by the track maint. guys & it was nice to hear some good feedback from the drivers. Daylight ran away towards the end, but the club got thru, I think about 99 % of the racing. In winter, time is always against you with the big entries. What happens on the day is influenced by red flags, track grades, crashes & lots of things that we can't control. The only area we can be in control of as drivers, is to be there early, scrutineered by 9am & be on the grid as & when called up with our pushers ready to go. A big thanks as always to everyone whom helps the club out in any way they can , a great meeting for them to feel proud of. Special mention to Wendy whom did the raffle selling & we saw 2 winners walk away with a DVD player & a Porsche remote controlled car. Thanks to Brenton from Tools 2 U for the car & we have another one to be raffled shortly.
The big guns of the KT100S will get their chance for the trophies at the next meeting on 19th July. Plenty of time to be ready for this one so again the entries & racing should be great. [/b]
