140 Go Kart drivers gathered at Strathalbyn’s local Angas Go Kart Club on Sunday May 31st to contend the KT Trophy Meeting.
15 x KT Light, 20 KT Medium & 16 KT Heavy Drivers nominated for Sunday’s meeting to beat the “best of the best” and they did not disappoint with a show worthy of everyone’s attention.
In KT Lights Adelaide driver David Carruthers finished in first place while Lisa Walker from Morphett Vale, always a consistent driver, finished in second place, meanwhile Tim McNamara chased them home for 3rd place.
In KT Mediums Adelaide’s driver Jason Minicozzi showed his stuff away from his home track and took home the number one Trophy, while McLaren Vale driver Scott Bogucki, after a short absence from the sport took home second and another consistent driver Rhys Hackett picked up third.
In KT Heavys and with a motor on loan Darren Shields from Huntfield Heights raced away with first place with local driver Josh Michelmore finishing yet again in the top three run away with the 2nd place followed by Neville Clark.
A big thank you to St. Johns and all the volunteers who all contributed in making this event successful.
Our next meeting at Angas Go Kart Club will be on Sunday June 21st – 125cc Heavy and Lights Trophy Day
