Hey Karters and Officials, Since it is no longer the dirt-kart season anymore have your say about new rules AIDKA will introduce next year into dirt karts. Some New Rules Are:- The New Junior Light and Junior Heavy Classes.
- Kart Weight Changes
There are many more here are the two that will effect me and my racing. What do you think about all of AIDKA new rules and how will they effect you.

"The New Junior Light and Junior Heavy Classes" This rule is great because it will enable me to run two classes. But the weight for Heavy's is abit too heavy because it is the same as J Open which is an adult class. I don't think I should race with a kart that heavy. But its the same for everyone. Can't wait till next season. I'm already ready for some head to head racing action.

I think one of the strengths of AIDKA is the simplicity of the rule book, and also the stability of the classes..
One suggestion i would have is to include (not in the rule-book, but in a separate document), the reasoning behind the rules or rule changes. This document would be useful to see a direction for the evolution of the sport, and also a guideline on how to adjudicate on "new" developments that occur that aren't covered in the rule-book.
There are many changes occuring in international karting, especially when it comes to motors, and it is important for AIDKA to have a vision that enables a smooth transition to new technology and classes.

I totally agree with you Tom.

The intention of the two weight classes is to give the heavier drivers a "fair go" not to provide you with two classes to race. That is why they specify a maximum kart weight to ensure that in most cases a light driver isn't able to weight a kart and race heavies.
Personally I think a driver should only be able to race in one weight division of a specific class.
