Author : Paris Charles
Adelaide’s Steven Caruso and the High Friction Surfaces Team have ‘pink capped’ off a very enjoyable season at Adelaide’s Speedway City last Saturday with a solid fourth placing in the City of Playford Lord Mayors 360 Sprintcar Cup.
The venue was in a festive atmosphere all night as was the High Friction Surfaces Team as they partied in pink caps, a gesture to thank our engine guru Bob Sherry who has provided a great service above and beyond the call of duty.
‘We race for fun and the final night at Speedway City typified why Sandy and I are involved in this team sport with the Steven Caruso High Friction Surfaces RaceTeam,’ said Kevin Renton.
In addition to the racing and socialising the team see the need in promoting their product along with the team giving aways caps and other various promotional products to the kids. ‘We love seeing the kids enjoy themselves, there is nothing better and having a great time at the Speedway,’ continued Kevin over a social drink at the Caruso end of the pits.
To date Steven has notched up an impressive 5 feature race victories (4) at Speedway City and (1) at Murray Bridge and three other podium placings, thus making Steve Caruso the most successful driver on a domestic level this season in the toughest 360 competition in the nation.
