I would like to see the Australian Titles be run yearly not Bi-Yearly. The association has now grown enough to support this race every year and this would give more clubs the opportunity to run this prestigious event. I has come up with the following format as a suggestion: 1. South Australia 2. Interstate 3. South Australia 4. Interstate 5. Etc… We also need a track license grading system. For example a A class track could run any event, a B class track could run state and club days and a C class track could only run club events. This would be applicable for both State and National titles and would allow drivers to race at tracks that can cater for large kart fields etc...

Their was a poll on this site and everyone wanted it like you said. I also agree with the track grading system.

Still not convinced on this one, IF clear guidelines are laid out on the format of running an Australian Titles to make sure the high standard is kept up then it might be OK..
I think the analogy of the Olympics only being every 4 years and therefore being so special does apply here though, we will run the risk of turning the AIDKA australian titles into just another karting event.
Put it another way, any year the Australian titles isn't held in your state, the state title becomes a much more prestigeous event!
Imagine how huge the Australian Titles will be next time it is in WA.... Sometimes build-up isn't a bad thing.
Track grading, very good idea. I'm not sure if AIDKA still does regular track inspections, last time i was involved this was being done via video's of each track. This information should be shared between the clubs so everyone can see what they need to do to get their club's track up to the standard they wish to achieve.

If the Majority of readers of this site voted for the mentioned format it must inidcate that a minority of AIDKA members visit this site. Other wise they would have voted it in to the AIDKA Rules.
