best way to get the best info is to join a club, speak to the club secretary, speak to the boys at either Lightning or Brown Racing Karts & go from there.
At 15 you will race in senior categories

If you are just starting out and haven't purchased a kart or chosen a class then I would suggest that it would be beneficial to attend an "Education Day" before making any decision. If you are keen to start racing you may be able to get a test drive to assist you with your decision.
Most AIDKA clubs start the new season with an Education Day but if they don't, as suggested by Dirtboy locate your local club and they will be able to give you some good advice. All the kart dealers will also be able to give you excellent advice.
Once you have joined a club and started racing you will find that most experienced drivers will be happy assist you get started with kart and engine setup.

Do you live in South Australia, Northern Territory or Western Australia and have you identified the closest club or club you would like to join or have you already joined a club?

you'll be racing speedway there i dont think there is any dirt curcuit places around when do you turn 16? as it would prob be better to buy a senior kart and start then then run half a season in juniors then have to sell your engine and buy something else parramater kart warehouse is the only dirt kart place i know of in sydney. you'll be running aka there too unless you travel south to nowra mourya and bega for skaa
