The sprintcar drivers were great. Good effort by Adelaide with the Rookie Day. McFadden was clearly the fastest just spun a couple of times.

With the 15 Rookie Driver nominated armed with plenty of giveaway’s for the Sundays racing the field was split into two heats per round allowing the Rookie to have plenty of room to enable the race to flow with minimal disruptions. To support the rookie drivers a contingency of Sprintcar drivers with Aust No1 James McFadden, Trevor Green, Steven Caruso, Matt Egel, Justin Sloan & “Jesus” ( Trevor’s crew chief) turned up for a demonstration drive in the 125 class karts in the lunch time break. With speeds pushing the karts limits all drivers impressed the crowd and all returned with huge smiles on their faces. James commented he hadn’t race karts in his early days at the new Adelaide track and after the demonstration drive he had found it great to drive with banking enabling several lines for passing an advantage. In the lunch time break the Rookies were invited for a meet and greet and photo session in front of Steven Caruso’s sprintcar with sprintcar driver making an impressive photo of current sprintcar drivers and possibly some future one as well. After the racing was completed many competitors stayed for the presentation to witness the Rookies again taking centre stage and receiving more gifts on their day. Thanks from the ADKC for the Rookies drivers supporting the great day, the Sprintcar drivers for donating their precious time to support the junior drivers and the organisers and volunteers on the day for their efforts to enable the meeting to go so smoothly. Don’t forget the last race meeting is scheduled for November 21st for the 2010 ADKC Championships with the “Darryl Payne Memorial” Trophy for best presented driver and team up for grabs again.
