It's easy to explain..
You don't need a special licence to run a track under lights.. The rulebook is quite clear on the requirements when racing at night. Have a read of Appendix D, rule 17.
The insurance company is supplied with the rulebook, and issues the policy accordingly. I'm sure nobody would love it if somebody was hurt be it during the day or night.

The track licence has to show that the track is approved to race under lights. This licence can be amended by the Track Inspector. I am sure this club would have gone through the correct process's and I wish them all the success from this meeting. On another note I can not understand why the trash talk has to to start when it comes to championships, It happens most years and last years championship club copped more than their share. I would think better time could be spent on helping the club, be it what ever club to put on a successful meeting. Do not knock it before it even happens. Good Luck Angas club and all who race and assist over the championship weekend.

This would be their first meeting under lights... Man the track will be fast, please don't cheap out on the lights, it needs to be bright. Is a valid question tho, in my opinion they should have tested lights at a club show first. As testing lights and people racing on a track is different. Same for everyone so who cares.
Can't wait, also good luck to everyone heading over to WA this weekend.

The official number of entries for the 2011 SA Title is 287.
There are 6 of the 13 classes oversubscribed. The majority of the other classes have full or close to full fields that will make for some great racing.

Hi Darren,
Just for clarification. I thought it was reasonably clear until you added the second post indicating "the state titles are excluded from this ruling".
Was the second post to reinforce that it is a Title Event and so nobody under 5 or over 90 is permitted in the Pits as it actually reads as the event is exempt from the total ruling.
May be worth just clarifying what is expected at the SA Titles.

Hi John

Yes was meant to reinforce that no under 5 or over 90 allowed in to the pits at all during the Title event.
Thanks
