Ch-Ch-Changes These changes aren't position changes or anything like that also it is no saying he current system is a total wreak. It is just my opinion and I want to see what other karters think.Presentations: The clubs can continue holding their own seperate presentations but I would like to see the top 3 in every class in the state be awarded their trophy at a presentation ceremony. State Points:Would like to see all the people that travel around to all the meetings to be rewarded in some way a good way that AIDKA could do this is by having state points. this is different from the points that are tallied at the end of each year and the top point scorer from each club get a trophy. This would be the top points scorer for the desired class over the whole state. Their would also have to be a rule of atleast 5 drivers must hit the track at the start of the race meeting so the drivers who have to drive hard for their point won't be descriminated against. Club Shows:Keep then runnig the same as they are currently being run with point tallies etc. Small presentations at the ends of meetings the way that some clubs are runnig their meetings are very professional. Aust Titles/SA Titles: Take them back to the system that involved finals. This is more professional because finals are experienced in all types of motorsports and also this is more entertaining and the finals of dirt karting will draw a bigger crowd. Basically run AIDKA like NASR run speedway with state points that is the main change I would like to see. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
If anyone else has anything they would like to add lease post your comments/suggested changes like I have below.

Don't see how this would be a problem. It is actually a good idea. It encourages karters to race at all the tracks.
It would benefit you as a karter and the tracks for getting a lot more nominations. Will be good to see what people think.
Great Idea!

It's a good Idea but they would need to make a minumun kart rule. So it will be fair to the people that travel to the competitive tracks.

WA is adding the "West Coast Series" to the calender in 09 which will consist of a round at each of the four tracks with the top three being rewarded a trophy and what ever else. Its a great idea, maybe SA should consider the same kind of thing.

Its a great idea, maybe SA should consider the same kind of thing. That's a good idea but it would be alot harder for SA to do such a series becuase of the distance between all the tracks. SA has a series if was called King of the Dirt and it was between 5 clubs in SA.

State Points would be a good idea. Like they run in speedway but it could be for karts. It could also have a separate presentation which would be run by AIDKA at a designated venue.

State points seems like a good idea, but it is very difficult with an amateur sport to get people to commit to rounds spread over the state and over the season..
It has been tried before many times, in different formats, and the problem is that all the competitors don't go to all the meetings.
As a driver, i'd rather save my money and compete at the meetings where i think there will be the best competition. State points or series etc.. are not really going to be a consideration with the meetings i like to race at.
One of the great things about dirt karting in SA is there are heaps of tracks to race at.. The disadvantage of that is it is next to impossible to avoid calendar clashes.
If i was to list the meetings i would like to win, it would go: Australian Title State Title Adelaide / Angas club championship Other club championship
By the time you have focused on the above meetings, it is difficult to give the same level of attention to a "series" of meetings..
I guess one way it could work is to look at the top 5 attended meetings of the season (maybe look at the past few years to find the traditionally well attended meets).. and assign them to a points series. Even then it just seems like another excuse to give out a trophy, so i think it's going to be hard to get much enthusiasm.

Seems like a good idea, but I do have to agree it would be very difficult to run. I would like to see it run.
