Hi guys i used to race karts few years ago now here is how i see it bkr the karts you see up the front from there team drivers are not what you would purchase from brown karts there are team karts and then everyone else karts when we first started we to did the old lets get browns there all wining we got our new karts only to learn not long after that they were very old second hand karts re painted we didnt know we were new to it so we soon fked them hunks of gunk off run alot of different chassis over the years ended up in a arrow and loved it never looked back but also drove lewis benson omega and a couple no namers and won meets and aus tittle and state tittle in them all it all comes down to kart set up and driving styles every one drives diff and sets up diff its what feels comfortable for the driver.nothing wrong with any kart really i watched kev manual drive a 30 year old peice of shit 200cc open to the top of the podium at loxton years ago beat the Burford brothers and all at back then the Burford brothers where unbeatable most of the time. I also used to help chook out and there is nothing wrong with his omega took us a bit to set it up but was so fast in the end good driver to that helped. In the end i hung up my helmet due to the unfair cheating evey tittle was run by ppl that had race teams checking there own engines the starter the lap counters the ppl that checked petrol all in the same team it ruend the sport in the end and im pretty sure it still goes on i wont mention the name of the team but im pretty sure you can all work it out if you all still race goodluck in the karts and have fun

It's next to impossible to find someone with the technical knowledge to measure engines that isn't actively involved in building engines already.. At title meets there is always someone not involved with the engine builder involved in measuring engines.
I'm not a fan of the build quality of the BRK, but I doubt that you would have received a used kart sold as a new one. (maybe a replacement bare chassis that had been lying around for a while?) The big advantage of buying a BRK is that you can see how to set-up your seat and axle etc. by copying someone that is already winning.
It is disappointing to see favoritism towards certain drivers at big meets, I've been on the receiving end of that myself. Unless you are willing to put in the time and effort around the club, I don't see that changing. I can't see how you can say the sport is ruined, it has never been more popular!
It is hard to win, if it was easy everyone would be doing it! I feel sorry for someone new to the sport when they have to compete with 2 or 3 generations of knowledge.
