125cc HIGH FRICTION SURFACES 40 LAP DOUBLE THE TROUBLE DERBY
The driver change will be completed in a assigned driver change pit area off the side of the track. When completing a driver change driver A will enter the pit change over with hand raised and at a responsible speed. When stopped drive A will exit on the right side of the kart and driver B will enter the kart from the right side. This stop will enable a driver change only with no kart maintenance permitted. Driver B will exit the driver change pit at a responsible speed to rejoin the race to then go onto the chequered flag. Any excessive speeds in the pits could mean a loss of position in the final results. Get your nomination in now as there will only be 20 Karts maximum so nominations will be first in first served basis. This will certainly be an interesting days racing so book this one into your race diary. See-ya Track-side.

I am in favour of trying different formats but isn' this over complicating things for racing. Will be interesting to see how it works out

With 2 drivers sharing the 1 kart in final, will it be best to weigh all Driver 1 & karts before taking their grid . Then after the race weigh driver 2 & kart again. Looking forward to Sunday as a spectator.

That was a pretty amazing experience. Thanks to ADKC for coming up with this format. It was a pretty full-on day trying to keep the kart in one piece, and with over 110laps of racing in one kart for the day those 125's were certainly put to the test.
Thanks heaps to Daniel for letting me drive his kart! Is there anywhere online we can see the transponder times?
On a side note i'd love to know the combined number of State and Aust. titles that have been won by the drivers racing. Wouldn't be surprised if it was 100+
