Aidka are advising us they are trying to get their website updated. Great to hear & thanks to the volunteers of AIDKA, that donate their time for the sport . When was the last time , someone walked up to an AIDKA member & said thanks. Easier to winge I guess & do nothing .
Racefan , I'm disappointed you would place a poor taste picture .
Well done Admin . to remove rubbish quickly.
Remember clubs put in their proposed race dates & it may not be final till AIDKA officially release the final copy , so check once it does come available from AIDKA.

"Let's do the Mr.X" atleast my picture looked good and blended well ha ha
I think AIDKA need to let the clubs sort out there own dates or maybe get a person on the committe just to do the calendar the proposed dates were released at the start of December so I don't see what the hold up is. If they have them sitting around why not release them on this site just post the file or send it to the Admin and he will post it. Honestly I'm sure the dates and the updated rule book are lying around somewhere why not send them to sombody who can show us (the karters) as we race. Also I know it can be extremely hard to run an association and keep people happy when juggling a job and anything else for that matter so why not just get somebody else to run the site, maybe just send them the stuff and they will update your current one. No offence but the committee is of the older generation and it will as I have seen with other sports take time for an associationto develop and maintain an website of a high standard.
The Admin of this site updates 3 websites I think he said once and one of those is a forum which is like 5 websites in 1 and requires alot of constant monotering with people like me ha ha. But I'm sure if AIDKA find the right people for the job they will be able to have a great website real soon. Currently all that I look on the site for is at the start of the season for the calendar and I'm sure its the same for many others. Well all the best with the site will be checking on Monday to see if it's updated.

I think the clubs should be given a deadline (end of September) to get their dates and committee details to AIDKA.
It's up to the clubs to work out amongst their own regions to ensure there are no date clashes.
AIDKA should not offer any extensions for late information, at last post end of September they should collate the information and print out the rule books.
I know in the past there were some clubs that dragged their feet in getting the information ready, the sport is big enough now that it can be run more professionally -- if you are late you miss out.
At least that way there would be a supply of next years rules/licence/event dates available to all clubs in time to distribute before the end of the year to give people time to get ready for the new season.
I'm not sure it's entirely the AIDKA executive's fault, if the clubs supported such action as i've talked about it would make it easier for everyone.. Only problem is that then EVERYONE would have to get their act together!

I agree Tom. Even October should be more than enough time.
If you don't get dates in on time, you take whats left. Simple. Its about time this was run more professionally like other sports.
This goes for the calendar, rules, general club days, everything. More marketing and and expansion into other states wouldn't go astray either. Just my 2 cents

This web site appears to have all the information available for AIDKA and is professionally presented. I'm not sure of the logistics but it would make sense for AIDKA to simply provide any information to the administrators of this web site and shutdown the current AIDKA web site. This site has become a focal point for dirt karting so why not utilise it more. Of course that is providing the administrator is happy to do so.

I do hope it is readily updated like the ADKC site. I'm sure if AIDKA send mark all the info he will put it up. BTW doesn't anybody know when the new website will be released? Taking a little while......

Well done to whoever decided to get race craft designs to build the website for AIDKA.
It may be a slow process, but it's certainly a step in the right direction.

It's been a long time coming but I must say I am a little disappointed. I know it will need tweaking but it doesn't even mirror the information on the old site. For example: where is the list of Office Bearers ? It is not there, it is on the old site.I know AIDKA don't want to be contacted direct but through their club Secretary, but there is point of issue when information may need directing to a position. The secretary advised in contact is no longer the secretary and should have been removed prior to releasing this new site. The design is good but time will tell if it is an improvement

I don't think there will be any improvement unless AIDKA pull there finger out race craft designs updates website when you send him the information so hopefully AIDKA can provide him with all the right information, now there is no excuses.
Cm on AIDKA now you have the right guy now we need you to do your part.

As somebody has pointed out "AIDKA" is an association and not just the Council or Executive. When members of AIDKA comment about AIDKA they are actually referring to themselves an all the other members of the association.
It is in the interest of each club to provide details of their respective events if they would like to attract visiting drivers.
Looking at this forum you can see that some clubs are using the web site to their benefit and publishing regular updates on what is happening at their club. A good example is Adelaide and for the record I am from WA.
A good web site has regular updates to keep your interest and this web site is a good example. Note that the administrator does a great job but it is the contributors that provide the information.
Personally I find this web site a good source of information and am not sure what the official AIDKA web site will be able to add but hope it is successful.

As John pointed out "AIDKA" is an association and not just the Council or Executive but you have to understand it is this association that is in control. Yes we are a part of it..... Yes we get a say but that is only little.
I think the main thing thing is with the association, is that no one knows what goes on up top. Hopefully the new AIDKA website can bridge this gap.

You are trying on the new website and not the old. I have just been on the site and they all work. As to how correct they are is a question. I have had some concerns expressed about wether they are 2010 or 2009. I would be contacting a club secretary and getting a hard form version of the rules
