I thought the Busselton Kart Club put on a great show at round 1 of the night series, with 150 competitors and 12 classes - racing started at 3pm and finished around 10:30?
There was a lot of very entertaining racing - i thought in particular that KT Mediums put on a great show for the crowd.
We have a race commentator booked in for the next two rounds to add to the excitement of the events.
Interested to see other peoples thoughts so far and any improvements the club may be able to make.

150 noms that's great..... I think.
Well done to the club if the can get through all that in 8 hours some clubs over here is SA struggle with 100 karts but they don't start at 3. Atleast the club is used to those high numbers because the 2011 Aus Title is going to be big, it gets bigger every year so might have 400 noms by then.

Can't wait for the 2011 Aus Title at Busselton

Guys, Busselton club fielded only 34 of the 150 nominations. So i guess we had 118 visiting drivers. Many members who normally race have to help out with the running of the event unfortunately as is with many clubs.

Great round to kick off the series.
Round 2 incorporating the Budgie Memorial is sure to be bigger and better with as many, if not more, nominations. Atmosphere will be great with a commentator or two, something that tends to be missing in kart meetings these days.
And Remember to support the cancer council for this great cause.
See everyone there!!!!!!! ;D

Fund Raising for the WA Cancer Council in conjunction with the Budgie Memorial Meeting (rnd 2 night series) is surging along with now over $3,500 of donations confirmed for the meeting. There will be a full write up of the event - with final ammounts raised in the APRIL Edition of the National Karting Magazine who have kindly agreed to print business logos in the magazine for all donations of $200 or more.
Thanks for everyones generous donations to date.
Anyone interested in donating please call me on 0437 708 546 to discuss.
I here we have just in excess of 140 noms now so should be a great night!
