Hi olman
From the enquiries I have made there is a new club being formed to run speedway karts at Remanrk Speedway where they have just held the Sa Speedway Kart Champs.
Harold Biel is the th Promotor in SA I will chase up his phone number but from what I can remeber his email address is bielharold@gmail.com he has rather an extensive mail list so appears to be quite some interest in SA I definately will be running my 125cc gear box kart and my 100cc open kart unfortunately they do not have a class for my 250cc outlaw. The unfortunate part is having to have a separate licence because our AIDKA licence can not be used cross codes between the different styles of racing
Cheers Brenton T.

www.skaa.com.au
Speedway karts have run at gilman I am not sure if they will continue to do so the SA championships were to have been there earlier this year but were run at Renmark. Contact Harold Biel for further info:bielharold@gmail.com or in may have to have .au on end can not remember Harold has an extensive mail list and is also on the national executive from what I have been told. NASR web site does also have rules and regualtions there also

Just a suggestion what if a Speedway Track is made at Port Gawler. John Maiolo has plenty of land and port gawler is in a great location. With great track makers such a jonny who knows. This track if put forward will for sure generate more competitors and interest than any track at Renmark would ever do.

I never gave that track a thought. I did know about it also. The reason Renmark was suggested because of the support from Mildura speedway karts and Renmark are prepared to programme events. I deffinately will be taking it up about Pt Gawler, because of the infastructure that is already there

With insurance the way it is Port Gawler having closed at one stage and then only being insured for gokarts on the bitumin track, I can not see it easily happening at Port Gawler the track would need to be sanction by NASR for speedway kart use. I would consider it more sensible to use existing facilities such as Renmark Speedway. It has the Insurance , Track Registration, facilities and preparetness to include Speedway Karts on their programme. Port Gawler has a lot merit logisticaly I can't see it happening unfortunately.

What no 250cc Outlaws in Speedway either Outlaw19? You are racing a 125 cc kart. Is this the same Outlaw19 that races with all the other outlaw drivers and makes up the numbers to allow the 125 cc karts to be able to run. hahaha

Cougar your you are very close to having a complaint lodged against you. Outlaw class in Speedway is not the same as outlaw class in AIDKA racing maybe before you open your mouth go and get the correct information because obviously you have no idea nor do you do anything to promote karting with dumb comments like that. As I said come up to Yorke Penninsula Just ask for me BRENTON TALBOT I will be happy to discuss it with you or do you rather hide behind the guest cougar id.

I agree with outlaw 19, get your facts right first mate bcos outlaws in speedway are a lot different to AIDKA. I dont see outlaws in AIDKA a popular class either, or one that is going to last for years to come, but outlaw 19 obviously knows more than me and its good to see he is trying to save his class!

If Guests post things like this I may have to make the site so users can only post and not guests. It is realy easy just one click but I don't want to have to resort to that or I could just ban you ip. cougar but I don't want to do that either so please don't argue, this site is to promote karting not bring it down.

I am sorry if I upset Outlaw19. I was obviously mistaken as I wasn't aware that speedway karting also ran Outlaws and 125cc . I incorrectly assumed that you were talking about AIDKA.

To assist it may assist if you specify speedway outlaw or AIDKA outlaw as in some posts you indicate that the outlaws are thriving and in others you wish there was somebody to race against

So my understanding now is that there are numerous speedway outlaw drivers and the AIDKA outlaws are low on numbers is athat correct?

OK. Back on topic!

Renmark is DEFINATELY running karts on 17th October.
We will be running it under our 'All Power' rules, ie all classes in (no twins)
As our scrutineers are SKAA, you need to pick an SKAA class from the web site to nominate as. Do not use your AIDKA class names!

I need nominations by 8th October. If you dont have a NASR licence, you will need to get a 1 day licence from the NASR head office.

The draw will be rigged. We MUST PUT ON A GOOD SHOW! so no spreading out over the track etc or driving like evil knievel. There are NO trophies or prize money

Email me if you have any questions
