Weighing Karts

AIDKA really need to put forward a rule that karts need to be weighed after each race. What's the point of having the scales if their not used.

Example: Say after every race the winner and a random kart should be weighed.

Someone after every race should be weighed because we need to utilise the scales. What's the point of having scales if their are not used.

Just My 2 Cents

Agreed Kart do need to be weighed what is the point of having the scales if no one uses them.

Pretty sure Adelaide uses the scales this is due to the fact that they have them in a accessiable spot where it is easy for the kart to wheel their kart to ba weighed. ;)

All clubs have scales the chief steward has the authority to have karts weighed they should be used. It is up to the clubs to make sure they are accessible. Further to this Fuel testing should be carried out randomly and regularly there have been questionable incidents over a period of time AIDKA has the authority maybe it should be used more often. Major events including club championships should be the minimum time for testing and weighing as should engine measuring at major events AIDKA has the power clubs have the scales it is time to use them more often, probably the arguing point would be the time involved in so but thats something that can be lived with

Understeer is when you hit the wall with the front of the car. Oversteer is when you hit the wall with the rear of the car. Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall. Torque is how far you take the wall with you** Oval Track The Place To Be**

Totally agree it is about time the scales for instance start being used at every club. Not just Adelaide. [image] Fuel testing and engine checking would be a bonus. [image]
Weighing should be done to the top 3 karts and one random!

I agree, AIDKA clubs all have the scales available for use. If they are not appropriately positioned they should be moved. There is no valid excuse for not being able to weigh all the karts after every race.

Until there is a rule on weighing karts nothing will happen as volunters are hard to find when they aren't necessary needed according to the rule book.

Adelaide don't really use there scales anymore as the volunter doesn't come and that is saying something about the weighing of karts. Why even run lead if you aren't going to be weighed.
